Shaffer Brings an Intel Chief to Voya IM

Charlie Shaffer has hired an intel chief.

Jane Conway
Voya Investment Management
Head of Distribution Enablement and Intelligence
On June 23, Shaffer, head of distribution for Voya Investment Management, confirmed that Jane Conway recently joined the New York City-based asset management firm (which is part of Voya Financial) as head of distribution enablement and intelligence. Conway most recently served as founder of ChangeArchtects, and until last October she served as head of global distribution enablement at T. Rowe Price.

In her new role, Conway will report to Shaffer. Conway is responsible for leveraging Voya's Enterprise Data Management capability, aiming to provide more effective and efficient data insights and tools to sales, marketing and client service.

"Our industry continues to face significant challenges," stated Shaffer. "Our response to these challenges is to evolve and drive our distribution capabilities and business model to be more data-driven; gathering data and creating insights around opportunities with our clients and the ability to engage them with the right message at the right time in the channel they want to engage with us. Jane brings a tremendous amount of expertise and we look forward to working with her to advance our various initiatives in this space."

A University of Scranton graduate, Conway served at T. Rowe Price for nearly three years in a variety of roles including head of global distribution enablement, and head of distribution intelligence and enablement, US intermediary. Before that, Conway served at Alpha FMC for nearly five years as executive vice president. Prior to that, she served at Infonic AG for more than two years as chief information officer. Conway also served at State Street Bank, Fort Point Partners, Accenture, and Sonalysts, as senior vice president, executive vice president of financial services, associate partner, and director of interactive training, respectively. Conway also founded ChangeArchitects where she served as founder and owner for more than 13 years.
