A Midwestern Fund Firm's Website Wins

The folks at a Midwestern mutual fund firm and their PR and marketing ally have good cause for popping some champagne this week (or at least doing a Zoom party).

Mairs & Power's website — which was "designed, written and programmed" by the creative services group at SunStar Strategic, recently won a 2020 WebAward from the Web Marketing Association (WMA). The organization recognized the St. Paul, Minnesota-based asset manager's new site as the "best mutual fund website."

The website was part of SunStar's work "to rebrand [Mairs & Power] during their year-long 'One Voice' initiative," states Kathryn Morrison, president and CEO of Alexandria, Virginia-based SunStar.

"Our new site reflects our dedication to our process and to investing in Minnesota and the upper Midwest," states Annette Lance, assistant-manager of investor relations for Mairs & Power. "It also gives clients and potential investors an excellent glimpse into who we are as people."

The WebAwards currently cover 97 industry categories. The Mairs & Power website is the first "best mutual fund website" winner since 2017.
