Wednesday, November 4, 2020 An Ex-OpFunds C-Suiter Joins Apollo A former member of the OppenheimerFunds senior leadership team recently left Invesco [profile] and joined an alternative asset management giant.
Mintzberg was not immediately able to comment. Spokespeople for Apollo and Invesco did not immediately return calls for comment. A Harvard University alumnus, Mintzberg stayed on at Invesco after it bought OpFunds in 2019. Prior, he served at OppenheimerFunds for nearly six years in several leadership roles, including chief strategy officer, global head of corporate development, and head of corporate strategy and development. Before that, Mintzberg served at BlackRock for more than seven years as COO and head of strategy, Latin America and Iberia, as well as director, strategy and business development. Mintzberg also served at McKinsey and Company for two years as well as Lerner Capital for nearly five years as management consultant; and co-founder and partner, respectively.
