A 27-Year-Old Firm's New CEO Picks a Distro Chief

After 17 years with a Midwestern, subadvised mutual fund firm and its parent, a fundster is rising into a key role.

Mary Taylor Mock
Touchstone Investments
Senior Vice President, Head of Distribution
Yesterday Blake Moore, CEO of Cincinnati-based Touchstone Investments [profile], confirmed that he recently promoted Mary Mock (Betcher, Taylor) to senior vice president and head of distribution. Davidson, North Carolina-based Mock most recently served as divisional vice president in the Southeast, overseeing Touchstone wholesalers covering Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. in the bank, independent, regional, and wirehouse channels.

Moore lauds Mock as "an adept sales leader of actively managed mutual funds, as well as an advocate of coaching financial professionals to help grow their businesses through Touchstone's suite of practice management programs."

"Mary's experience and knowledge will be critical as we expand our brand, solve for industry challenges and trends and continue Touchstone's growth trajectory," Moore states.

Mock first joined Touchstone's parent, Western and Southern Financial Group, in 2004 as director of corporate recruiting. She moved over to Touchstone in 2006 as sales desk manager, then served as an external wholesaler before rising to DVP in 2016. Earlier on, she worked with Von Lehman and Company and Burke, Inc.
