Today Laton Spahr, president of SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc.'s SS&C Alps Advisors [profile], unveils the launch of the Alps Global Travel Beneficiaries ETF (JRNY on the NYSE Arca). The fund debuted yesterday.

Alps is the new fund's investment advisor, and Alps' Andy Hicks (senior vice president of index management) and Ryan Mischkler (SVP of portfolio management and research) are the fund's PMs. It comes with an expense ratio of 65 basis points and tracks the S-Network Global Travel Index.

Other service providers to the fund include: Alps Fund Services, Inc. as administrator; Alps Portfolio Solutions Distributor, Inc. as distributor; Dechert LLP as counsel; Deloitte & Touche LLP as independent accounting firm; S-Network Global Indexes, Inc. as index provider; and State Street Bank and Trust Company as custodian and transfer agent.

Spahr puts the launch in the context of the Alps team's efforts "to build a compelling suite of thematic strategies for ETF investors." And Hicks notes that the index is powered by an AI-driven screening process.
