Tuesday, May 4, 2004 Peoples Benefit Names to VA Mandate Winners An Aegon affiliate has added two subadvisors to handle four new subaccounts of its variable annuity. Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Peoples Benefit Life Insurance Company added the four portfolios to its no-load Advisor's Edge variable annuity offered through fee-only advisors. The two managers winning the mandates were Fidelity Management & Research Company and Capital Guardian Trust Company. The insurer did not disclose the identity of other managers evaluated for the variable annuity mandate. Fidelity will manage the VIP Mid Cap Portfolio and the VIP Value Strategies Portfolio. Capital Guardian Trust Company will be the sub-advisor for the Capital Guardian Global and Capital Guardian Value sub-accounts. Peoples Benefit Life Insurance Company's Advisor's Edge variable annuity offers a total of 54 sub-account investment options.
