Janus President Elected to Board

Janus shareholders elected Gary D. Black, president and chief investment officer of the company, to the board of directors during its annual meeting on Friday.

Black joined Janus in March 2004.

Three other directors were also elected to the board for three-year terms: G. Andrew Cox, James P. Craig and Deborah Gatzek. There are ten total directors on Janus' board.

Cox, an adjunct professor of Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, became a director in October 2002. Craig also continues his membership on the board from October 2002; he is a principal of Opportunity Capital. Gatzek, a new director, was counsel of ING Americas' mutual fund practice.

Shareholders voted to maintain Deloitte & Touche as the company's independent accountant.
