14Y In, a Key ETF Ally Leaves NYSE

A key ally to the ETF industry is moving on from the world's biggest stock exchange after more than 14 years.

Maital Legum is leaving NYSE, where she served as director of exchange traded products, MFWire has learned. Legum's last day at the New York City-based exchange was February 20, she tells MFWire.

Spokespeople for Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), parent of NYSE, did not immediately return an email for comment.

"After nearly 15 years at NYSE, I'm turning the page," Legum writes in a LinkedIn post. "I've loved every minute: launching products, surviving market meltdowns, and most importantly, working alongside some of the smartest, kindest, and funniest people in the business. You know who you are."

"What's next? I'm joining a group of people I've worked alongside for years to build something exciting in this space," Legum writes. "Given the velocity of this industry, there's no time to sit still — so I won't be gone long."

Legum first joined the NYSE in 2011. Before then, she previously worked at FTSE. She is an alumna of Yeshiva University and of the University of Maryland.
