Monday, June 21, 2004 SEC Steps Up to the Plate The SEC will consider adopting its independent chairman proposal, among other issues, during a Wednesday meeting at 9:30am EST. Commissioners were originally set to meet on June 9 to discuss issues related to advisory contract disclosure and short selling of public securities. Commissioners will consider those issues in addition to its governance proposal for fund boards. The June 9 meeting was postponed in observance of President Reagan's passing.
