Monday, July 26, 2004 SEC Vet Joins Janus Janus Capital Group announced last week that, effective August 23, 2004, John Bluher, formerly of Knight Trading Group, Inc. will serve as senior vice president, general counsel and chief public affairs officer of Janus. Steve Scheid, Janus' CEO says of Bluher, “John has a very impressive background with more than 20 years of corporate law, securities and litigation experience in both the public and private sectors.” In the public sector, from 1987-1992, Bluher served as senior vice-counsel for the Division of Enforcement at the Securities and Exchange Commission. In the private sector, Bluher was a formerly a partner in private practice. He also served as senior vice president and global chief compliance officer at Prudential Securities, Inc. and executive vice president and general counsel at SunAmerican Financial Network, Inc., the financial services holding company for AIG/SunAmerica Inc. In his most recent experience at Knight Trading Group, Bluher served as general counsel, corporate secretary and director of risk management.
