Wednesday, October 27, 2004 AMG Names CEO Sean Healey, Affiliated Managers' Group current president and chief operating officer, will succeed William Nutt as chief executive officer of the company. Nutt will remain chairman of AMG. "As [c]hairman, I will remain fully active in and committed to the ongoing execution of AMG's business strategy, focusing on certain strategic initiatives, as well as maintaining and developing senior-level relationships with current and prospective Affiliates, and representing AMG in industry-wide organizations," stated Nutt. Healey, 43, joined AMG in 1995 as an executive vice president, and became president and chief operating officer in 2001. His wife, Kerry Healey, is lieutenant governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. An AMG spokesperson did not immediately return a call seeking comment on a replacement for Healey.
