Friday, December 10, 2004 BoA Promises Beantown 300 More Jobs Bank of America will relocate 300 more jobs to Boston in 2005 to build out its wealth and investment unit, the company announced in a release on Thursday. The jobs affected include positions at Columbia Funds adviser Columbia Management, as well in operational units such as the Wealth & Investment Management group's legal, marketing and finance departments. Bank of America spokeswoman Alex Liftman declined to comment on how many jobs within Columbia Management would be relocated; Columbia Management is based in Boston. "Hundreds of talented investment management executives responsible for leading one of the company's four major business lines will soon be gathered [in Boston]," stated Brian Moynihan, president of wealth and investment unit.
