Schroder: Now an Eight Fund Family

It's only six days into the new year, but Schroder Investment Management North America has already launched four new funds.

The latest two funds, the Schroder Enhanced Income Fund and the Schroder Core Fixed Income Fund, will be managed by a team headed by Steven Lear in New York. The firm launched two municipal funds on January 1.

"This launch is part of a very clear and well-targeted growth plan for North America," said Peter Clark, chief executive of Schroders' North American business.

The Enhanced Income fund will invest in domestic government and investment grade securities, aiming for an average portfolio duration of three to six months, while the Core Fixed Income Fund will invest in domestic government and investment grade securities with an average portfolio duration of three to six years, according to a SEC filing.

Net operating expenses for both funds, post fee waivers, will be 40 basis points. SEI Investments is administering the funds; Schroeder Fund Advisors will distribute the funds.
