Tuesday, February 15, 2005 State Street Welcomes Vet Back into the Fold State Street has rehired James Phalen, current chairman and chief executive officer of CitiStreet, for a position in its North American investment servicing group, State Street announced on Tuesday. Phalen will report to Jay Hooley, executive vice president of the worldwide investment servicing unit, effective March 1. Prior to heading the joint venture between State Street and Citigroup, Phalen was head of State Street's benefit services group. In his new role, he will manage strategy, operations and business development for State Street's investment firm clients in the U.S. and Canada.
