Tuesday, March 22, 2005 Vanguard Intros Fund of Funds Vanguard has filed to launch an equity fund that will invest in eight of its other equity funds. The Vanguard Diversified Equity Fund is expected to open for investment in June. The fund's managers will maintain target allocations of 20 percent of the Growth and Income Fund; 15 percent of the Morgan Growth Fund, the U.S. Growth Fund, the Windsor Fund and the Windsor II Fund; 10 percent of the Explorer Fund; and five percent of the Mid-Cap Growth Fund and the Capital Value Fund. Investors will have to pay an estimated 44 basis points for the underlying expenses in the Vanguard fund. The Diversified Equity Fund itself will not have any net expenses.
