Background:

Rich Pzena, a senior alumnus of Sanford C. Bernstein & Company, launched his eponymous value investing shop in 1995. The firm IPOed in 2007, though in July 2022 the founder unveiled a plan to take the firm private again.
Though the vast majority of the firm's business is in SMAs and sub-advised accounts, Pzena Investment Management did enter the mutual fund business in 2014.
