A $100B-AUM AM's Wealth Channel Chief Passes the Reins

Reported by Neil Anderson, Managing Editor

A $99.5-billion-AUM (as of July 31) asset manager's wealth channel chief is passing the reins to a 20-year industry veteran and ex-NFL player.

Robert Kenneth "Bob" Kuberski, Jr.
Cohen & Steers, Inc.
Executive Vice President, Head of Wealth Management Consulting Group
On Tuesday, Dan Charles, executive vice president and head of global distribution at Cohen & Steers, Inc. [profile], and Bob Steers, CEO, confirmed that Bob Kuberski is succeeding David Edlin as executive vice president and head of Cohen & Steers' wealth management consulting group, which supports financial advisors and their clients. Edlin is retiring after a dozen years with the New York City-based fund firm.

Kuberski, who now reports to Charles, most recently served as director of global relationship management at Eaton Vance. He left Eaton Vance back in the spring, not long after it was acquired.

"As David transitions to a well-deserved retirement, we are excited to have someone of Bob's caliber take on this mantle to build on our tradition of excellence," Charles states.

Steers lauds the departing Edlin for "his commitment to excellence and understanding of client needs."

"We deeply appreciate David's many years of service and his leadership in building a world-class wealth management team at Cohen & Steers," Steers states.

Kuberski joined Eaton Vance in 2017 and rose to director of global relationship management in 2018. Before that, he led retail sales at RidgeWorth. Earlier on, he served as an Invesco wholesaler and as a Morgan Stanley FA. He also played professional football as a defensive tackle with the Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots. He is an alumnus of the U.S. Naval Academy and a former U.S. Navy officer.

Edlin joined Cohen & Steers in 2009 after serving as national sales director with AllianceBernstein and Scudder. Earlier, he spent 16 years with Putnam. He is an alumnus of Georgetown University.
