A New York Fund Firm Taps a New B-D Sales Chief

Reported by Armie Margaret Lee

Cohen & Steers hired David Edlin as senior vice president and national sales manager for the broker-dealer channel. He reports to John McCombe, executive vice president and director of retail sales and marketing. Edlin, who starts at Cohen & Steers today, replaces Kevin Crook, who left the New York City-headquartered firm around four months ago.

Prior to joining Cohen & Steers, Edlin served as national sales director at AllianceBernstein Investments. He earlier worked for Scudder Investments and Putnam Investments.

At Cohen & Steers, Edlin oversees 12 external wholesalers.

A spokesman for AllianceBernstein was not immediately available for comment on how Edlin's former duties are being handled.
