Nationwide Mutual Funds has hired Federated Investors to sub-advise three money market mutual funds which collectively have $5.6 billion of assets. Pittsburgh-based Federated, one of the largest money market fund managers, assumed sub-advisory duties for the Nationwide Money Market Fund, the NVIT Money Market Fund and the NVIT Money Market Fund II on April 2. Those funds were previously managed in-house.

Federated already sub-advises the Federated NVIT High Income Bond Fund.
