DWS Hires a Bear Stearns Alum

DWS Investments Distributors has hired Greg Troccoli as senior national account manager. Trocolli is one of two recent hires at DWS Investments. The other is Bob Kendall, whose appointment as national retail sales manager was reported by The MFWire last Friday.

Both Troccoli and Kendall report to Mike Woods, who joined DWS as US head of distribution in August. Trocolli is based in New York while Kendall, a former Van Kampen executive, is based out of Chicago.

Trocolli was previously a co-head of platform sales at Bear Stearns & Co. Earlier, he worked as chief technical analyst for Prudential Securities.

Kendall was most recently executive director, head of national sales and key account management for the national wirehouse and major bank channel at Van Kampen, which is in the process of being purchased by Invesco as part of a broader deal.

NEW YORK – Dec. 11, 2009 – DWS Investments, the US retail unit of Deutsche Bank’s global Asset Management division, today announced the appointment of Gregory Troccoli and Robert Kendall as Directors. Troccoli will serve as Senior National Account Manager responsible for managing client relationships with broker dealers, private banks and trusts, and Kendall will serve as National Retail Sales Manager responsible for managing client relationships with broker dealers, financial advisors, banks and registered investment advisors. Troccoli will be based in New York, while Kendall will be based in Chicago. They will both report directly to Michael Woods, US Head of Distribution for DWS Investments Distributors, Inc.

Troccoli has over two decades of experience managing domestic and international sales teams for both retail and institutional channels, and was a Managing Director, Co- Head of Platform Sales at Bear Stearns & Co.. He also served as Chief Technical Analyst for Prudential Securities. Troccoli earned a BA degree from St. Michael's College, Burlington, Vermont. He is also a NASD/FINRA Registered Representative, series 3, 7 and 66

Kendall has over 14 years of experience in building and managing retail sales teams. Most recently he served as Executive Director, Head of National Sales and Key Account Management for the national wirehouse & major bank channel of Van Kampen Investments. There, he successfully integrated the Firm’s multi - product distribution platform into one client-centric sales team focused on better servicing financial advisors in the wirehouse and major bank channel.

Kendall earned a BA degree from University of Iowa and is a NASD/FINRA Registered Representative, series 7, 63 and 24.
