Transamerica Has a New Strategy for Pitching its Mutual Funds

Transamerica Capital Management [see profile] has a new head of sales and a new approach for pitching its mutual funds. The Denver-based firm tapped Dave Paulsen as chief sales officer.

TCM will also start employing a "multi-channel approach to its mutual fund business," according to a press release on Tuesday. It will have smaller territories and increase wholesaling support to distributors and advisors.

Additional details about the new strategy could not immediately be obtained.

Transamerica Introduces New Distribution Strategy Dave Paulsen Named Chief Sales Officer for Transamerica Capital Management

Dave Paulsen assumes the role of Chief Sales Officer for TCM. Dave joined Transamerica in 2007 as National Sales Manager for Annuities. Additionally, TCM will begin using a multi-channel approach to its mutual fund business, creating smaller territories and increased wholesaling support to distributors and advisors.

"I look forward to Dave’s leadership and expertise in continuing to build on our achievements."
