Thomas Faust's Eaton Vance [profile] has hired Bob Cunha to serve as managing director of marketing and distribution strategy at Eaton Vance Distributors.

Cunha, who was previously a principal at Market Metrics, will lead Eaton Vance's marketing efforts across all distribution channels, including the Company's brand positioning and media relations efforts. He is also responsible for the development and implementation of data-driven sales and marketing processes to support Eaton Vance's investment products and services, according to the company.

 He is based in Boston and reports to Matt Witkos, President of Eaton Vance Distributors, Inc.

Eaton Vance Appoints Bob Cunha as Managing Director of Marketing & Distribution Strategy

BOSTON, April 16, 2013 -- Eaton Vance Corp. (EV) announced today that Bob Cunha has joined Eaton Vance Distributors, Inc. as Managing Director of Marketing and Distribution Strategy. Mr. Cunha assumes responsibility for leading Eaton Vance's marketing efforts across all distribution channels, including the Company's brand positioning and media relations efforts. For more than 12 years, he worked with leading asset managers, focused on driving strategic planning, sales force development, marketing programs, sales segmentation, process improvements and acquisition analytics. Earlier in his career, he led marketing and strategy efforts in the telecommunications sector for Cape Range Wireless in Australia and BellSouth Telecommunications in the U.S. 

Mr. Cunha earned an A.B., magna cum laude, from Harvard University and pursued advanced graduate work at the University of Western Australia.
