Which Three ETFs Won the Race This Week?

$529 million, $273 million and $264 million. That's how much money investors poured into the number one, two and three ETFs (in terms of flows) over the past week.

Brendan Conway in the "Focus on Funds" column in Barron's cites XTF.com data on ETF flows. The Select Sector SPDR Financial ETF [profile], the iShares MSCI USA Minimum Volatility Index Fund [profile] and the WisdomTree Japan Hedged Equity Fund [profile] took the gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively.

Barron's lists the winners in the context of how the volatile Japanese stock market is inspiring heavy inflows into this particular WisdomTree ETF this year, which has risen 29 percent year-to-date and brought in almost $7.8 billion in net inflows since January 1. Together, the ETF's performance and inflows have quintupled its assets this year, to $10 billion.
