Catalyst Pulls the New Switcharoo On a Fund

The funds they are a-changing, or so one is at Catalyst Funds [profile]. The Lloyd Harbor, New York-based investment shop has converted its Harbor Assets LLC hedge fund into the Catalyst Hedged Futures Strategy Fund (HFXAX).

Operating as a mutual fund as opposed to a hedge fund, HFXAX can reach "a broader investor base that may benefit from the strategy," its founder Ed Walczak says.

The fund, which was launched seven years ago, seeks to seize market volatility in order to provide capital appreciation and capital preservation in all market conditions. Walczak will continue to serve as its senior PM.

The SEC filing for the fund can be found here.
