A PM Leaves a $244MM Dreyfus Fund

The BNY Mellon team is saying goodbye to one of the PMs of a three-star, $244.0-million large cap value mutual fund. The PM is leaving one of BNY's investment boutiques.

James Harries
Newton Investment Management
Director of Investment Management, Global Equities
In a regulatory filing, BNY's Dreyfus [profile] confirms that Newton Investment Management's Nick Clay and Terry Coles are now the primary PMs of the eight-year-old Dreyfus Global Equity Income Fund. James Harries no longer PMs the fund.

MFWire could not immediately reach a BNY spokesperson for comment on the change.

London-based Newton is an active, global, thematic, institutional asset manager and BNY Mellon affiliate that had 48.3 billion pounds (about $72.71 billion) in AUM as of June 30. British publications like the FT and Investment Week report that Harries is leaving to join Troy Asset Management.
