After Six Years At Guggenheim, a Senior Managing Director Passes the Reins

Penny Zuckerwise is no longer with Guggenheim Partners, MFWire has learned. Lauren Coape-Arnold has taken over Zuckerwise’s role as head of corporate social responsibility. Zuckerwise also left her role as senior managing director at Guggenheim.

Coape-Arnold, who has worked with Guggenheim’s corporate social responsibility group since 2014, assumed the new role this month. Most recently, she was a director in the corporate social responsibility group.

“We are excited to have Lauren Coape-Arnold as our new head of Corporate Social Responsibility. Lauren has a deep background at the intersection of finance and social impact, having led philanthropy ventures as well as having a background in investment banking,” a spokesperson for Guggenheim tells MFWire in an email.

Zuckerwise joined Guggenheim in 2011 as head of institutional distribution and in 2014 she founded the corporate social responsibility group.

“It has been my privilege to build and establish a sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility function at Guggenheim Partners. I have been incredibly fortunate to work with many wonderful people and to witness first-hand how our employees are making a huge impact," Zuckerwise writes to MFWire. "I am now adding my expertise and providing insight to organizations in a strategic advisory capacity."

Zuckerwise would not provide any specifics beyond the statement.

“Penny and her team have made a profound impact on our culture and our communities with efforts that have spanned the globe, supporting innovative social entrepreneurs seeking to address some of the world's most entrenched issues with scalable solutions,” the Guggenheim spokesperson goes on.

Before joining Guggenheim, Zuckerwise was CEO of Americas institutional for Russell Investments, president and CEO of Utendahl Capital Management, president and COO of Chancellor LGT Asset Management, and president and COO of Chancellor Capital Management. Before joining Guggenheim, Coape-Arnold worked at Two Sigma Investments.
