Tonight the CFA Society Hartford team is hosting their Annual Forecast Dinner at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. Juliana Dalton, president of the group, and Bjorn Forfang, deputy CEO of the CFA Institute, will both speak at the event, which will feature First Trust Advisors' chief economist, Brian Wesbury sharing "The Real News About the U.S. Economy."

Tomorrow after the market closes, the leadership of New York City-based Cohen & Steers will release their Q4 2018 (and full year 2018) earnings. CEO Robert Steers, president Joseph Harvey, and chief financial officer Matthew Stadler will host the company's earnings call at 9am on Thursday.

Also tomorrow after the market closes, the leadership at Carillon Tower Advisers' parent, St. Petersburg, Florida-based Raymond James Financial, will release their fiscal Q1 2019 earnings. They will host their earnings call on Thursday at 8:15am.

Also tomorrow, Alger CEO Dan Chung and his team will host the New York City-based mutual fund firm's "A Taste of Alger" media event. The after-work, off-the-record cocktail party will be hosted at Alger's offices in midtown Manhattan. Featured hosts will include: Josh Bennett, PM of Weatherbie Specialized Growth; Chung himself, CEO and chief investment officer; Ankur Crawford, PM of Alger 25 and Spectra; Teresa McRoberts, PM of the Alger Healthcare Fund; Brad Neuman, director of market strategy; Brad Reynolds, internet analyst; and Amy Zhang, PM of the Alger Small Cap Focus Fund.

On Thursday night, also in midtown Manhattan, Frank Heavey and his team will host the Expect Miracles Foundation's 5th Annual Expect Miracles in Manhattan event. (The foundation's tagline is "Financial Services Against Cancer.") This year the event will be held at the Playstation Theater and have the theme "Picture a Cure". Margaret Flynn-Martin, executive director in the relationship management group at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and John Pavese, managing director and head of relationship management at Merrill Lynch, are co-chairing the event, and more than 500 fundsters and other industry insiders are expected to attend.

Also on Thursday, after the market closes, the leadership team at Pittsburgh-based Federated Investors will release their Q4 2018 (and full-year 2018) earnings. President and CEO Chris Donahue and chief financial officer Thomas Donahue will host the company's earnings call on Friday at 9am.

Friday is the entry deadline for Pageant Media's 26th annual Fund Intelligence Mutual Fund Industry and ETF awards. The winners will be recognized at an awards show in April in New York.
