Inc. Recognizes Fundsters and Allies


Some fundsters and fundster allies are among the honorees this year on a list of fast-growing companies.

Yesterday, the Inc. magazine team revealed their 2020 Inc. 5000 list, which ranks companies based on revenue growth from 2016 to 2019. Only U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit companies are eligible.

Newport, Rhode Island-based Havener Capital Partners, a third-party marketing (TPM) firm that helps asset managers with distribution, ranks 3,428th on the new list. The 10-year-old shop reported three-year revenue growth of 109 percent and is a newcomer to the Inc. 5000.

Charlotte, North Carolina-based Horizon Investments, an ETF strategist and mutual fund shop, ranks 4,147th on the new list, up from 4,668th in 2015. The 25-year-old shop reported three-year revenue growth of 83 percent, and was also on the list in 2014 (ranked 4,536th), 2013 (1,742nd), and 2012 (1,187th).

Cleveland-based Cohen & Company, an accounting firm that works with mutual funds, ranks 4,329th on the new list, down from 3,106th in 2019. The 43-year-old shop reported three-year revenue growth of 77 percent, and was also on the list in 2018 (3,960th), 2017 (4,421st), 2012 (4,504th), 2011 (4,580th), 2010 (3,916th), and 2007 (4,712th).
