Andy Provencher has hired a senior Morgan Stanley Investment Management [profile] alumna for a key leadership role at BNY Mellon Investment Management [profile].

Dawn Renee Tutje
BNY Mellon Investment Management
Head of Financial Institutions Group, North America
On Monday, Provencher, head of North American distribution at BNY Mellon IM, confirmed that Riverside, Connecticut-based Dawn Tutje recently joined the New York City-based asset manager as head of the financial institutions group (which includes the DC I-O, mega RIA, private bank, and subadvisory/insurance channels) in North America. Tutje now reports to Provencher.

Tutje joined BNY Mellon in December, a BNY Mellon spokesperson confirms. Prior to that, she most recently spent nine years at Morgan Stanley IM, where served as executive director and head of subadvisory and strategic investment-only relationships. Morgan Stanley spokespeople did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Provencher lauds Tutje for her "wide-ranging financial services experience, sales talent and team building" skills.

Tutje joined Morgan Stanley IM in 2011. Prior to that, she worked with GE Asset Management, U.S. Trust, UBS Global Asset Management, Zurich Scudder, and Irving Trust. She is an alumna of UT Austin.
