A Tech Leader Rises at State Street

A key technology leader is on the rise at the parent of Street Street Global Advisors (SSGA).

Last week, Brian Franz, global chief information officer at State Street Corporation, confirmed the recent promotion of Aman Thind to executive vice president and chief architect. London-based Thind most recently served as senior vice president and chief technology officer ofthe Boston-based company's GlobalLink platform.

Franz puts Thind's new appointment in the context of describing technology as "a key enabler" of growth for State Street's clients (which include numerous fund firms that it custodies for).

Thind joined State Street in 2018 thanks to the institutional bank's acquisition of BestX, of which he was co-founder and chief technology officer. Prior to that, he worked with Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, Adobe Systems, Fidelity, and Quark Media House.
