A CT Startup Builds Its 12th ETF


Less than five months in, the team at a Connecticut startup is rolling out their 12th ETF.

Last week, the folks at Themes ETFs launched the Themes Robotics & Automation ETF (BOTT on the Nasdaq). The new fund, a series of Themes ETF Trust, is is one of 22 ETFs the Themes team filed to launch last November. BOTT is also Themes' first launch of 2024, after their first 11 funds debuted last December.

BOTT's inception date was April 22, 2024, and it comes with an expense raio of 35 basis points. The new fund now has about $509,000 in AUM, according to ETF.com data. (ETF.com also reported on the launch.)

Themes Management Company, LLC serves as investment advisor to BOTT, and Solactive serves as index povider. The new ETF is designed to track the Solactive Industrial Robotics & Automation Index, and the fund's PM team includes: Kevin Shao, vice president of product management and development at Themes; and Calvin Tsang, head of product management and development.

BOTT's othe service providers include: SS&C's Alps Distributors, Inc. as distributor; Cohen & Company, Ltd. as independent accounting firm; Practus, LLP as counsel; U.S. Bancorp Fund Services, LLC (dba U.S. Bank Global Fund Services) as administrator, dividend disbursing agent, index receipt agent, and transfer agent; and U.S. Bank National Association as cusodian.
