Fundsters Gather in Boston to Help Fight Cancer

On November 10, the Expect Miracles Foundation held its thirteenth annual Expect Miracles Wine & Spirits event at the The Revere Hotel in Boston, MA. About 400 guests gathered for this sold-out, French-themed reception to help contribute to the fight against cancer.

The Annual Event Commences

Jeff Duckworth of John Hancock and Keith Brown of Accenture co-chaired the event, and speeches were made by many, including: Frank Heavey, executive director of the foundation; and Maggie Nokes, assistant director of the foundation.

During the event, the foundation awarded the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute a check for $700,000 in support of cancer research. Certain companies were also recognized during the event, including State Street, who was awarded the Foundation Award, and Seyfarth Shaw LLC, who was awarded the CJ Award.

Fundsters Enjoying the Event

In the coming months, the Expect Miracles Foundation will be holding other events, also. On January 26, 2017, the 3rd Annual Expect Miracles in Manhattan will be hosted at the Edison Ballroom to benefit the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and on April 17, 2017, the foundation will be sponsoring a team to run in the Boston Marathon.
