Fund Updates


On July 28, the investment advisor for the Pioneer Variable Contracts Trust has changed from Pioneer Investment Management to Amundi Pioneer Asset Management.

Effective January 1, 2018 the Board of Trustees has approved a proposal to change Fidelity MSCI Industrials Index ETF from a diversified to non-diversified fund.

Effective August 1, the following PureFunds will change their names:
  • PureFunds® ISE Cyber Security™ ETF will become the ETFMG Prime Cyber Security ETF
  • PureFunds® ISE Mobile Payments™ ETF will become the ETFMG Prime Mobile Payments ETF
  • PureFunds® ISE Junior Silver™ (Small Cap Miners/Explorers) ETF will become the ETFMG Prime Junior Silver ETF
  • PureFunds® Video Game Tech ETF will become the ETFMG Video Game Tech ETF
  • PureFunds® Drone Economy Strategy ETF will become the ETFMG Drone Economy Strategy ETF
  • PureFunds® ETFx HealthTech ETF will become the ETFMG ETFx HealthTech ETF

People Moves


On October 18, shareholders will meet to consider electing Barry Fink, Jan M. Lewis, Stephen E. Yates, and Thomas W. Bunn to the board of directors at American Century Funds.

On June 30, Juliet Ellis no longer serves as the lead PM of Invesco's portion of the Strategic Advisers Small-Mid Cap Fund. Juan Hartsfield has replaced Ellis as the lead PM.

Class Shares

On July 28, BlackRock Funds can invest in China A-shares listed and traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange or the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Starting July 31, Class T shares are not available for purchase.

On July 31, Virtus Equity Trust Class T Shares are no longer available.

Fee Changes

From July 31 to September 7, the Deutsche Massachusetts Tax-Free Fund and Real Assets Fund sales charges are waived.

Effective July 31, the Legg Mason Low Volatility High Dividend ETF has reduced its management fees.

On August 1, the Fidelity Large Cap Value Index Fund will reduce its sub-advisory fee rate.
