Launching: the Hartford Total Return Bond ETF

Today Wayne, Pennsylvania-based Hartford unveiled a new, actively managed ETF, subadvised by longtime Hartford ally Wellington Management Company. The fund is PMed by: Joseph Marvan, senior managing director and fixed income PM at Wellington; Campe Goodman, senior managing director and fixed income PM; and Robert Burn, managing director and fixed income PM.

Launching: the IMS Select Portfolios — Income strategy

Today Dallas-based 1st Global, an ally to CPAs, unveiled a new addition to its IMS (Investment Management Solutions) platform. The strategies' portfolios will include both ETFs and traditional, actively managed mutual funds.

Launching: "The Financial Fitness Tour"

Today the "Financial Coach" bus begins its "Financial Fitness Tour" in Kansas City, and over the next month it will stop in Nashville, Chicago, Bloomington, Indianapolis, and Columbus. American Century and Investopedia are teaming up for the tour, which will offer free financial wellness consultations.

Launching: the USCF SummerHaven Private Equity Strategy Index Fund and the USCF SummerHaven Private Equity Natural Resources Strategy Index Fund

On Tuesday Oakland, California-based USCF confirmed that it has filed to create two new ETFs, both powered by new indexes from Stamford, Connecticut-based SummerHaven Index Management.

Company: Envestnet

Acquiring: FolioDynamix

On Monday Chicago-based Envestnet unveiled a $195-million cash deal to buy FolioDynamix from Actua. The deal is expected to close in Q1 2018. J.P. Morgan is advising Envestnet on the deal, and Evercore is advising Actua.
