BlackRock, Research Affiliates, and 13 Other AMs Win Big In Gotham

The folks at BlackRock, Research Affiliates, and 13 other fund firms won big at a trade publication's 11th annual awards show last night.

Robert D. "Rob" Arnott

Partner, Founding Chairman
ETFS Capital's ETF.com team hosted their 2025 ETF.com Awards last night in New York City, as per usual. For a third year running, the festivities were held at Tribeca Rooftop in Manhattan. The awards covered 18 categories. 42 nominated fund firms were in the running, along with several non-fund-firm nominees.

BlackRock led the winners pack last night with two awards: "best new ETF" and "crypto ETP of the year," both for the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT). Meanwhile, Rob Arnott, partner and founding chairman at Research Affiliates, won the lifetime achievement award (the only award granted to an individual, not to a firm or fund).

"I'm deeply honored to receive this recognition from ETF.com," Arnott states. "This award reflects the collective effort of a wonderful team dedicated to challenging convention and advancing investor outcomes. From the beginning, we've believed that systematic, research-based approaches can deliver better results—and that mission continues to drive our work every day."

Other winning ETF shops last night included:
  • AllianceBernstein;
  • Capital Group;
  • Eagle Capital;
  • Exchange Traded Concepts (ETC);
  • Mirae's Global X;
  • GraniteShares;
  • Invesco;
  • Janus Henderson;
  • Sun Life's MFS;
  • NEOS;
  • Tidal;
  • VanEck;
  • Vanguard; and
  • WisdomTree.

  • CF Benchmarks won "index provider of the year."
