Troy Cates and Garrett Paolella, and Taeyong Lee co-founded NEOS in April 2022. (Paolella and Cates previously worked together at Harvest Volatility Management, Horizons, Recon, and MKM Partners. Lee previously served as global head of ETFs at Mirae Asset, Horizon's parent.)
Lee also serves as chief global strategy officer at Wavebridge, a South Korean quant firm that is a strategic partner to NEOS. (NEOS is majority-owned by its own employees, but Wavebridge holds a minority stake.)
NEOS ("Next Evolution of Option Strategies") specializes in a quantitative, systematic approach to asset management. The team debuted their first three ETFs in August 2022. All three of those ETFs are actively managed with traditional, daily disclosures of holdings and feature options-powered strategies intended to generate monthly income; one of the funds is an equities-focused fund, while the others are fixed income-focused funds.
