In July 2021, Spouting Rock Asset Management bought a minority stake in a global macro-driven SMA manager, Glovista Investments.
Spouting Rock Financial Partners entered the asset management business in 2018 with the launch of Spouting Rock Asset Management. The firm started out as a family office in 2006 and launched its merchant bank, Spouting Rock Capital Advisors, in 2007.
The name is a reference to a particular rock on the shore in Newport Rhode Island: the rock is above a sea level cave, and waves send water spouting up through a hole in the rock. Spouting Rock Financial Partners president Blakely Page visited the rock during his childhood, and now he takes his children there.
The asset management arm of Spouting Rock is focused on alternatives and other corners of the market where inefficiency gives active management an edge.
