| Allison Dukes Invesco Ltd. Incoming Deputy Chief Financial Officer | |
Yesterday Flanagan, president and CEO of the Atlanta-based fund firm,
confirmed that
Allison Dukes will
join publicly traded Invesco on March 10 as deputy chief financial officer, reporting to
Loren Starr, CFO and senior managing director. On August 1, Dukes will take over as CFO and senior managing director, while Starr will become vice chair until retiring on March 1, 2021.
Dukes most recently served as CFO of
SunTrust Banks, which recently merged with BB&T to become Truist. A Truist spokesman confirms that BB&T's CFO,
Daryl Bible, has taken over as CFO of Truist, as expected when the deal was
revealed a year ago.
Dukes first joined SunTrust in 1997, then rejoined in 2002 after a couple of years with Axiom Legal. Over her years at the bank, she rose from associate, to balance sheet manager, to CFO of the consumer banking and wealth segment, to EVP of the private wealth management business, to president and CEO of the Atlanta division, to head of commercial and business banking. She took over as CFO two years ago. She is an alumna of Emory University's Goizueta Business School and of Vanderbilt.
Starr took over as CFO of Amvescap (now called Invesco) in 2005 after serving in a similar role at Janus. Earlier in his career, he worked at Putnam, Lehman Brothers, and Morgan Stanley. He is an alumnus of Carnegie Mellon and of Columbia.
