Prudential Investments, the Newark-based financial services firm, has tapped
John Carter to serve as executive vice president, national sales. His responsibilities will include overseeing the distribution of Pru's mutual funds, managed accounts, and variable annuities. He begins his new duties immediately.
In this posting, Carter will be overseeing sales the occur through the company's financial advisors and agents as well as other third-party professionals.
Carter has served at Pru since 1999. He previously held the title of senior vice president and director of sale for Prudential Securities Financial Advisors. Prior to arriving at Pru, the executive was a corporate vice president at
Kidder Peadbody Asset Management. He replaces
Ted Kilkuskie, who has left the firm.
