Mutual Funds Against Cancer (MFAC) named sports journalist John Dennis as the first Expect Miracles lifetime achievement award honoree. MFAC Chairman Frank Strauss will present the award to Dennis at the second International Wine Event to be held in Boston on November 16.

Dennis is co-host the Dennis & Callahan Show carried on WEEI, Boston sports radio station. He also runs MediaWise, a consulting firm that assists high-profile sports figures in dealing with the glare of the media and maximizing their endorsement opportunities.

The MFAC award recognizes Dennis' dedication and commitment over the past 20 years in the fight to eradicate cancer.

"We are elated to honor John Dennis with the Expect Miracles Lifetime Achievement Award for his years of support, contribution and fund raising efforts in the quest to abolish cancer. John is an inspiration to all with his devotion to fund raising in the pursuit to find a cure to this horrific disease," said Strauss.

Strauss added that MFAC has added to corporate sponsors -- Confluence and RR Donnelley -- to its roster. Existing event sponsors include John Hancock, Investors Bank & Trust, Loomis Sayles & Company, Computershare and Eagle Investment Systems, among others.
