A retail product manager at The Hartford, which is seeking to boost mutual fund sales, is among three executives newly promoted to senior vice president positions.

Rob Arena, who has directed product management on the company's retail side for two years, has received a promotion, it was announced Friday. Jim Davey and Ken McCullum were also named SVPs, in the retirement and institutional investment businesses, respectively.

Arena joined The Hartford from American Skandia/Prudential in 2004. In part, he works on growing Hartford's mutual funds business, which hit a record $2.7 billion in sales for the first quarter of this year.
