Prudential Annuities has brought on board a former sales executive from the Hartford Life Insurance Company to spearhead relationship management and channel development efforts. Ferris, who takes the newly created title of vice president of strategic account management, reports to David Odenath president of Newark-based Prudential Annuities.

Ferris spent 11 years at the Hartford, serving in a number of roles including senior vice president, director of sales and marketing for retail investment products. He previously held positions at Aetna Life Insurance Company, Covenant Insurance Company and Allstate Insurance Company.

Hartford spokesperson Tim Benedict said the company did not appoint a replacement for Ferris.
