BofA Management Moves Leave Columbia Funds Without a Chief

by: Erin Kello

Bank of America has reassigned the head of its Columbia mutual funds division to its Global Wealth and Investment Management business. The AP reports that Keith Banks will take over for Brian Moynihan, who will move into the role of vice chairman. Moynihan takes over for BofA vet Gene Taylor, who is retiring. No successor had been named for Keith Banks as of press time Wednesday night, according to the wire service. The management changes come after BofA announced it was cutting 3,000 jobs in its investment banking division after a rough third quarter.
