First Trust has registered two new international ETFs with the SEC. Both will be actively managed funds. The First Trust Developed International Markets AlphaDEX Fund and First Trust Emerging Markets AlphaDEX Fund will be the company's fifth and sixth exchange-traded funds.

So far, no portfolio manager or expense ratio has been determined.

The developed markets fund will invest in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, Western Europe, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. For the emerging market fund, First Trust will choose investments across 150 different countries.
