Reported by Jason Shank

Standard & Poor's investment funds' website, micropal.com has added Malaysian and Taiwanese unit trusts to its databases, taking the total number of its investment funds databases to 20.

  • Micropal now offers performance data and statistics on 206 Taiwanese mutual funds and 86 Malaysian funds. In all, users of micropal.com have access to information on 20,000 unit trusts, investment funds and mutual funds. Users of the site can access information on micropal.com by database, by investment manager, by performance tables or through a personal selection option.

A recent addition to the site is Standard & Poor's Fund Research ratings for those funds that qualify for such ratings. Presently, this covers UK-based funds that have FR ratings, but will soon extend to investment funds in other jurisdictions as well, including the recently launched Select Fund evaluations in the UK (visit: http://www.standardandpoors.com/onfunds)

Standard & Poor's Fund Services was formed in April this year by the merger of the businesses of Micropal, Fund Research and Managed Funds Ratings.
