Mark Strazzeri has been promoted to the post of director of institutional investments for
New York Life's MainStay Funds, and he will be charged with introducing MainStay Funds to retirement plan consultants. Under this system, the funds will be offered on an investment only basis.
Strazzeri will report to
Michael Anderson, vice president of institutional markets. Prior to this assignment, the official served as a national sales manager/broker dealer for the vendor's Western region.
"His main role will be to introduce MainStay institutional funds to consultants. This not a bundled product. We are increasing visibility to plans that may be looking for additional investment options," a spokesperson with New York Life told our sister publication, The 401kWire.com.
MainStay's institutional funds include -- but are not limited to -- a growth equity fund (
NIGEX), an indexed equity fund (
NIIEX), and a bond fund (
NIBDX).
