has made several changes to its executive ranks, the company announced today. David Odenath
, who was named president of Prudential Investments in June, coming from Paine Webber
, says the changes reflect an emphasis on moving the company from a focus on product to a focus on "relationship management and consultative selling."
Pru also says that a national search is underway for a head of sales for Prudential Investments.
Three Paine Webber execs have followed Odenath to join his new management team at Pru. Lynn Waldvogel
has been hired as executive vice president and head of marketing, Keitha Kinne
is a new senior vice president and business head of the managed money group, and John Carter
holds the newly created position of senior vice president and head of sales for the Prudential Securities channel.
In addition, Prudential has promoted Judy Rice
to executive vice president and director of program management. She will oversee the development and management of all of Prudential Investment's programs and products, including mutual funds and annuities. She will also continue to oversee Prudential Investments Advisory Group
(PIAG), launched a year ago for non-Prudential financial advisors.
And lastly, Kevin Osborn
has been named senior vice president and head of PIAG, reporting to Rice -- previously he had been director of sales for managed money services.
