Lipper has a new head for its fund ratings arm. Michael Peace, who has headed Lipper Asia since 1999 is filling the chief executive post vacated by Sarah Dunn earlier this year. Dunn had been promoted to president of Reuters Group's Corporates & Media Services Customer Segment.
Peace has spent 14 years at Reuters in the United Kingdom and in Asia, primarily in sales and business development positions. He will remain in Hong Kong for the next few months and then relocate to the firm’s New York City headquarters in Times Square.
"I am delighted to inherit the reins of a company with a very strong heritage, tremendous promise and an excellent multinational base of talent and customers," said Peace in a statement. "I look forward to supporting the global development of the funds industry, leveraging Lipper's three decades of experience and trust in the U.S. institutional market with Reuters's strengths in technology, language and distribution. Lipper will continue to extend its presence in the growing markets of Europe and Asia blending international expertise with local knowledge."
