Bill Gross just delivered a warning to Democrats and Republicans in Washington, D.C. The Pimco [see profile] co-chief investment officer penned an opinion piece in the Washington Post, urging members of Congress and the President to set aside the Federal government's deficit and raise the debt ceiling.

"The debt ceiling must be raised and not be held hostage by budget negotiations," Gross wrote. "Don't mess with the debt ceiling, Washington. Bond and currency vigilantes will make you pay."
