Charles Fernandez, has resigned as co-PM of  
Fairholme Fund's [see profile] flagship fund, 
Morningstar  reports. Fernanadez was also co-PM of the 
Fairholme Focused Income and the 
Fairholme Allocation fund. 
Fernandez's resignation from the firm was effective October 17, according to regulatory 
 filing. He joined Fairholme in 2008, and Berkowitz reportedly said at the time that he would use Fernandez's expertise in corporate restructurings to make contrarian and deep-value bets, such as  his much-maligned bet on St. Joe.
Another pair of former Berkowitz disciples, 
Keith Trauner and 
Larry Pitkowsky, left the firm and 
 launched their maiden offering this year.
